Revamping a Website for Choreographer and Movement Director Montana Efaw
THE CHALLENGE
Montana Efaw, with over 12 years experience as a dancer alongside Lady Gaga, had recently transitioned into the realm of choreography and movement direction. She needed a new, elevated website that would reflect her edgy brand and effectively showcase her impressive body of work and extensive experience, with the aim of attracting new clients and projects.
Montana hired me to redesign her website, tasking me not only with enhancing the visual aspects of her brand but also with elevating the overall user experience.
THE SOLUTION
To elevate Montana's website, we revamped its look and feel, embracing bold fonts and a striking black-and-white theme that places her work in the spotlight. We strategically positioned Montana's choreography reel at the top of the page, immediately catching visitors attention as they enter the site. Recognizing the importance of easy navigation for potential clients, we streamlined her previous work, neatly categorized and readily expandable for a closer look on the homepage. We introduced dedicated pages for an ‘about' section and ‘contact information’. To cater to Montana's dance classes, we incorporated a hidden page that she can seamlessly share with her customers when needed. Additionally, we designed a mobile-friendly landing page, ensuring Montana's social media followers can swiftly access essential information directly through her website, eliminating the need for third-party link trees.
